Wox1c Is Acquired By Cloud9 In Huge Deal Announced By HenryG
Lately having a down swing with mousesports, famous Turkish CS:GO player Özgür “wox1c” Eker finally made it to Cloud9’s new roster. He was placed 12th best player of year in 2019 on HLTV rankings, and he caught a great momentum going. After things slowed down a bit for him in 2020, he says “he will bring back the real wox1c”.
Cloud9 has been going through a rebuilding phase, and wox1c is the third name to jump in after Alex “ALEX” McMeekin and William “mezii” Merriman. His contract is announced for three years period by Henry “HenryG” Greer, who also announced that deal is worth a total of $1.365 million.
Wox1c is also quite optimistic about this new chapter in his career. He made a few remarks regarding the recent period where he was criticized for “being toxic” and having a poor attitude. He stated that there was not any problem with his ex-teammates and he still likes and respects them both as professionals and as friends very much. According to him, such comments were unfortunately not true, but he is determined more than ever to “shut everyone up”. About the offers he had, he mentioned that the way Cloud9 works was the best for him personally, thus he took the offer happily. Now he is focused only on the upcoming Flashpoint 2 tournament as “HenryG set his crosshairs on the title no matter what”.
From what we have seen last year, it is tough to say that these words from him are inaccurate. Everyone knows what wox1c can do, and now imagine an angry wox1c. His opponents should feel scared for very good reasons.
