VALORANT Mobile May Not Be As Far As We Thought

Source: Riot Games

While VALORANT is just celebrating its success as Ignition Series had a nice momentum, fans are still looking forward to possible future surprises. With previous announcement of Riot Games stating that they are keeping the idea of console version in mind for future, this one is a bit different.

After the successful release of VALORANT, many players wondered if the game was also set to be ported for mobile devices and consoles. While Riot Games slightly teased the community with console-related announcement, mobile version was not a thing until this news came up. In the latest patch of 1.08, dataminers found a string of code that reads as “action to perform when double-tapping on right side of the screen”. As the screen tapping motion is only possible on touchpad devices, this can not go further than iOS and Android. This finding is a strong hint on possible mobile version of VALORANT in future.

Considering that its predecessors like Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite had their break on mobile devices quite successfully, this may also apply to VALORANT. Especially with mobile gaming industry going absolutely crazy nowadays, this could be a very fruitful attempt for Riot Games to carry VALORANT to new heights.
