Despite the long years of existence in the esports scene, mostly quiet, Turkey was unable to reach to a remarkable success until recent years. Country had very talented individuals in every era, though structural issues and financial difficulties around entire country made it near impossible for these players to rise up and leave their marks on the scene.

This situation is gradually changing, and luckily in an accelerating rate. As rest of the world started investing into esports scene, some Turkish entrepreneurs and market pioneers also noticed the opportunity to be first to arrive on this fresh financial competition. With these moves, we started to see serious improvements in Turkish esports scene. Final step of this change is two solid VALORANT teams announced just before First Strike begins.

We have Sangal Esports and Futbolist rosters announced this week, both featuring very well-known former CS:GO players.

Sangal Esports is definitely not a new name in the Turkish esports scene as they have been competing on a high level in CS:GO during recent years. Here is Sangal Esports VALORANT roster below as revealed in the official announcement.

  • Berk “Rip” Tepe
  • Muhammed “mini” Salman
  • Beyazit “beyAz” Körpe
  • Tolga “bacyx” Bacak
  • Ibrahim “lurz” Sandıkcı
  • Bora “Maiko” İğci (Coach)

Following Sangal Esports’ announcement, another well-known Turkish esports organization Futbolist also announced their VALORANT roster. While their main game was FIFA at first, they also went on to conquer DotA 2 and PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS quite quickly. Finally we are seeing them in this strongly hyped esports title. Here is Futbolist’s VALORANT roster below.

  • Salih “marqnue” Onaran
  • İbrahim “mag0o” Temizel
  • Buğra “mojj” Kiraz
  • Ufuk “SasuKe” Göktaş
  • Emre “STERBEN” Demirci

Both teams are looking quite strong with their highly experienced players, and they are very likely to be a threat especially in First Strike event. Alongside BBL Esports and Oxygen Esports, Turkish teams are coming fast and strong one after another to prove that they are not done before they say so. Best of luck to these hardworking teams and players on their journey.
