PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has stirred up the gaming and esports scene with a huge buzz by introducing the whole world with Battle Royale genre in an “official” way. There were many mods that would be also considered as the predecessors of genre like “DayZ”, we were yet to see a full-scale game dedicated to the Battle Royale theme alone. Changing the momentum of entire gaming scene even during early access stage, PUBG has brought serious contributions to the table of esports since the very first release.

Inevitably, this unstoppable momentum also attracted the organizers and developers alike. Eventually, these efforts evolved into a worldwide series of annual tournaments being held in multiple continents to bring up a world champion.

This brings us to where we are today — The PUBG Continental Series #2.

European part of the PCS #2 is starting today with first six matches. Bringing 12 invited and 12 qualified teams together into three different groups (A, B, C), group stage pits all teams in dual combinations of A-B, A-C and B-C for six days. After a total of 36 matches in group stage, best 16 teams will be advancing to finals where they will compete to grab the biggest share from $200,000 prize pool.

Matches will be played in dates of 7–9 and 14–16 August. Official broadcast in English will be made in twitch.tv/pubg channel, so remember to tune in for a top-tier competition.
