After a very exciting series of three weeks, we are finally taking a deep breath with PUBG Continental Series 3 in Europe and North America being over. Especially European competition was intensely exciting to the very last match, with standings changing after each and every kill during the game.

Crowned as European champions, Northern Lights has shown everyone a great strategic mastery over the course of entire tournament. More often than not, they managed to acquire and maintain superior positioning compared to their rivals which resulted in 99 placement points in 24 matches. This great positioning advantage inevitably helped them gain the edge in firefights and landed them 115 kill points, resulting in 214 points in total. Runner-up Team Liquid actually made a serious comeback in the second half of finals and absolutely making a massacre with 126 kills in total. Third spot goes to the rising stars of PCS #3 EU, Digital Athletics with a total of 199 points. First two PCS tournaments were not really bright for them, but the transfer of CodeMarco carried the team into a whole new level in competition especially in close quarters combat performance. With 37 kills, 34 knocks and over 8000 damage, he shared the top stats with other best players of entire event. Digital Athletics managed to stay in top 2 for a long time, though their last day was unfortunately unlucky. They lost the second place in the very last match after Team Liquid made the most out of their chance after DA got eliminated early in the game.

North America side was slightly less exciting compared to European event as Soniqs continued its unstoppable march throughout the tournament. Their supreme performance in Miramar simply determined the results as they are the only team that surpassed 100 points to an unbelieveable level of 168 points only in Miramar matches. While their Erangel performance was just average (77 points), this huge difference was more than enough to keep them in lead. Runner-up Guadalajara Gascans and the third place contender Oath finished the event with very close scores, 203 and 200 respectively. In contrast to Soniqs’ Miramar performance, they managed to separate themselves from the pack with their remarkable Erangel performances with 107 and 109 points respectively.

But the competition does not end here. With PCS #3 coming to an end, PUBG Corp. has announced PUBG Global Invitational (PGI.S) for next year. Currently there are not much details, as the official announcement page only provides the initial information. Further announcements are going to be made once details are clarified.
