Worlds 2020 thrill is going on with full speed, and no match is allowing us to blink our eyes. All teams are bringing their very best performances to the Rift and no matter what the score is, amount of adrenaline never goes down.

Quarterfinals started with a very straightforward victory taken by DAMWON Gaming against DRX, as they overrun the series with 3–0 score. DAMWON Gaming already proved how powerful they are in the groups with 5–1 series, only losing the last match against JD Gaming.

Talking about JD Gaming, they also managed to qualify for quarterfinals but their run was stopped quick by another powerhouse Suning over 3–1 score. While their efforts did not hit the mark, it was definitely worth a strong applause nonetheless.

Biggest and most amazing surprise came in the match between Fnatic and Top Esports. Fnatic started the series in a pretty decisive and strong fashion, bringing the score to 2–0 quickly. No one could doubt Fnatic as they have been a legend for many years, and they have proven time over time what they are capable of. Especially with such momentum, there are only a handful of teams in the whole world who could still take on the challenge. But Top Esports still had a statement to make, and they were more than determined to defy the odds. Even on the brink of certain defeat, they did not hold back and performed an outstanding reverse-sweep against Fnatic to qualify for Semifinals with a 3–2 comeback. What an impressive run it was as they sent a very solid message to everyone who will face them.

Finally, the last series of Quarterfinals is played between Gen.G and G2 Esports. While the first two games were relatively smooth for G2 Esports and they managed to climb up to a quick 2–0 score, third match was an entire series of crazy teamfights as Gen.G tried their best to stop G2 Esports from advancing to Semifinals. Still, it was not enough for Gen.G as they eventually lost a very critical teamfight after their nexus were nearly exposed, bringing the end to their remarkable run.

Finally we are looking at the full list of Semifinals contestants. DAMWON Gaming is up to face G2 Esports on 24th of October in the first match of Semifinals. Suning and Top Esports will face each other on 25th of October, giving us the second Grand Final team before the countdown starts for the moment we all waited for. As usual, these matches will be played in Bo5 format. Make sure to tune into lolesports.com or twitch.tv/riotgames for this intense action.
