League Of Legends Preseason 2021 Is Coming With Huge Changes
While community is already on the thrill of League of Legends 2020 World Championship which will be held between 25th of September and 31st of October, Lead Gameplay Designer of the game Mark “Scruffy” Yetter has announced from his Twitter account that Preseason 2021 period will be hosting numerous changes to a wide variety of aspects in the game.
According to the announcement made on League of Legends website, the weight of changes will be on some gameplay mechanics which slowly fell out of balance and smoothness. Developers are changing Healing/Grievous Wounds mechanics, transforming Cooldown Reduction to Ability Haste with a full-scale rework that will not be capped like CDR but will be stacking its power linearly instead of exponentially, and Tenacity mechanics with a focus on knockups and suppression.
On the other hand, items will be seeing a serious series of change throughout all classes with different perspectives and priorities. Currently, the biggest change is apparently on Jungle items as they will be a starting item that does not take additional investments (pretty similar to current Support items’ state). This way, Junglers will be able to widen up their choices to various builds sooner into the game. Besides this fundamental change, all classes will be seeing diversity of tactics, strategy and playstyles after the intended item changes are applied throughout the game.
With this announcement, anticipation of a much better gameplay experience in League of Legends is getting stronger. Change of meta is imminent, and it will be surely fun to watch players going for mindbreaking plays.
