Hogger Steps Into The Nexus With Latest PTR Patch
Heroes of the Storm came out with a lot of hype back in the day, and promised a different taste in MOBA genre to freshen up the competition after League of Legends, DotA 1&2, Heroes of Newerth slowly locked down the style into certain mechanics. Especially eliminating the long and exhausting farming phase alongside the excessive itemization differences in order to offer a quick action-heavy game, HotS became a remarkable niche in the scene.
While the game was pretty successful on its own, it unfortunately did not receive much support from players and developers alike despite being a Blizzard game. Finally Blizzard stopped supporting the esports scene of Heroes of the Storm a couple years ago, leaving many people abandoned who were grinding the game religiously. This sudden change left the game stalled for a short while, but then some die-hard fans kept showing support. The support of fans helped Blizzard to stand their ground on at least regularly supporting the game since there are still a good community to move forward.
Fast-forwarding to the date, now we are seeing another new hero joining the party: Hogger. This gnoll, known as Scourge of Elwynn Forest, is a bruiser that loves pushing and smashing its enemies around like a madman. Hogger will be taking advantage of terrain mechanics heavily alongside dealing serious area damage in close combat.
