In Europe stage, Sprout and Complexity made their ways into Group A’s winner’s finals with decisive scores. On the loser’s finals for Group A, we are seeing NiP and OG qualifying to fight another day by eliminating Natus Vincere and MAD Lions respectively. It will surely be an interesting match between Sprout and Complexity though, as it has been months since their last match. Complexity managed to win their last two matches, one in May and one in March, with 2–0 scores also. Sprout will surely want revenge in this major.
In Group B, we are still seeing two strong names, Astralis and G2 qualifying straight into winner’s finals. Loser’s bracket on the other hand, is surprising us with another legend falling to a challenger. Heroic managed to eliminate Fnatic with 2–0 score and now waits for the winner of Vitality vs. FaZe Clan match to continue their march into finals. The match is sure to be a huge clash between two death squads.
America region witnesses a comeback from recent champion FURIA as they managed to overthrow 100 Thieves in the tiebreaker of Group A. They will be facing Evil Geniuses, the leader of Group B in the semi-finals. Chaos showed a strong set of skills during this group stage and managed to qualify for semi-finals right away, waiting for the tiebreaker of Group B between Team Liquid and Cloud9.
Despite being played online and some players are apparently losing their thrill due to the prolonged online tournament fashion, we are still watching quite exciting matches as the event progresses. No doubt that finals will be a “blood and bone” style battle very soon.
