ESL and DreamHack, both known as among the best esports organizers throughout two decades thanks to their unforgettable efforts in the scene ever since the esports tournaments became a thing for people. They were both under the brand of Modern Times Group (MTG) lately and now this is changing.
ESL and DreamHack are now merging into one brand introduced as ESL Gaming. It is reported that while ESL executives Craig Levine and Ralf Reichert will be on top of the brand, DreamHack President and CEO Marcus will be keeping his executive roles in the new structure.
With that said, brands will be operating as they used to. Their own events and tournaments will still carry the respective names of ESL and DreamHack. After their recent collaboration through ESL Pro Tour, it seems to be their next step towards a more powerful alliance. Having such an experience under their belt, it is no doubt that we will see much greater work from them.
